In the Room
The hotel had a comfortable and welcoming feel. The room itself was very spacious with great features such as air conditioning, countryside view, large modern bathroom and decent sized comfy bed. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel and felt at home there enjoying our stay considerably.
Couldn't really fault this hotel, but including a full english breakfast rather than it being an extra charge would have made the stay perfect. On a side note they don't serve food past 6pm on a Sunday which would have been useful as it is a little remote.
Everything well organised during my stay.
It should be made clear on the website :- That it is a Continental Breakfast that is part of the price, not a Full English Breakfast which you pay extra for.
Nice welcoming atmosphere.
Our bathroom was in desperate need of a repaint. And the side of the bath needs replacing. Simple fix would make it a great value for money. Need some clarity about what is included for breakfast.
Lovely decor and friendly staff and clean
Liked all of it, they were very accommodating
the food at the restaurant is quite okay, dinner as well breakfast in the morning. Friendly reception, helpfull
it was very cold in the room (single glass with not good closing windows) and the only fire in the room could not get any heat in the room. Bathroom outdated...
Food very good and very reasonably priced. Restaurant very pleasant and staff very attentive.
Standard of cleanliness of the room was below that expected of a 4 star hotel.
ideal location for our break in journey to eventual destination. (Also well located for numerous tourist attractions )
Fair price, Very clean, Good location.
Booked for my birthday, when we arrived I was greeted by a very friendly lady wishing me a happy birthday. We were them upgraded to a very impressive suite at no extra charge. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish.
Nice hotel/pub-restaurant and helpful female staff.
It does state completely refurbished but from the room I stayed in - although comfortable - I would beg to differ. Accomodation and food overpriced for what you get.
The staff were great; very polite and easy to get hold of.
Three ale pumps, all London Pride of dubious quality.
The breakfast should be included in the price and was also expensive
The rooms were clean and family spacious.
It was only a double bed and my husband is 6ft 5 so was a difficult sleep. The pillows were very thin too.
Staff were really nice. I mean REALLY NICE and friendly. It was proper English hospitality. The room was very clean and well kept. Usually rooms that are this cost are a little frayed at the edges, but not the Lambert Arms.
The door lock was broken. Not too much of a problem as I felt safe at the hotel.
